The 21st Century has seen the Jewish community makes strides in regards to combating antisemitism such as the vice-presidential candidacy of Joseph Lieberman, which demonstrated how far Antisemitism had declined from centuries prior. On the other hand, the 21st Century has seen rises in cases of deadly violence against the Jewish community such as the Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting in 2018, in which 11 people were killed. Since being on the decline for many years, antisemitism has seen a rise in 2018, 2019 and 2020 as well.
